The Mission

Refurbish 21 outdoor basketball courts in Slidell and New Orleans, LA, to address the needs of children through recreation.

Operation21 has identified FIVE parks in Slidell that we will refurbish and SIXTEEN in New Orleans. We're currently working with New Orleans Recreation Department (NORD) to determine which courts should be refurbished first.

As families return to New Orleans, NORD recreation programs are starting up. However, outside activities are limited because of the conditions of the court.

Chris Duhon is a product of NORD programs. At an early age, he played football, basketball, baseball and track he and his family moved to Slidell when he was in the 6h grade.
